Who are we...
Hello! My mom and dad created Miammiam, a family business located by the magestic Atlantic Ocean, in the small community of Flatrock, Newfoundland The workshop was created in 2011 after my arrival, me, "their little love". Because they love me very much, my parents wanted me to have super cool toys. Toys designed for my needs, made of non-toxic and renewable ressources and that would last for generations. They call these Eco-Kids toys. These are good resolutions ... But not easy to find. After much research, some toys did not meet all the criteria, some toys respect them, but were not very pretty. As Mom's maternity leave was almost finished, my dad decided to stay home to take care of myself and to create Miammiam. Mum is the designer, she sketches everything in her golden book. Dad is the craftsman who goes from mom's sketches to patterns and then he cuts and sands each piece as if it were precious. And I , "their little love", am the official tester of superior quality. I bite them, throw them, scratch them and more ... it’s a lot of fun!I hope you will enjoy MiamMiam toys as much as I do .Bye

FAQ
So you have some questions...
Do you have an online store? Yes you can access it by -------clicking here!---------We decided for financial and ideological reasons to use the ETSY.COM network for our online sales. Etsy.com is actually a group of artisans and distributors of handmade objects. Purchases are made via PAYPAL. A simple registration on Etsy as a buyer is asked. What is an eco-kid toy?In fact, the term eco-kid is a summary of our vision of what should be a toy. Sustainable, ecological, natural, non toxic and intergenerational. Of course, each toy is designed for children and their development. Why MiamMiam toys are environmentally friendly? We try at all levels of the business to be as green as possible. Here are some of our efforts; Our toys are made of wood a renewable material. We maximize the cuts so that there is less scrap. In addition, wood is strong and stable. We believe that reducing our consumption is "the" way to be green and a wooden toys that will last for generations is a good example. We do not use paint or stain that have a negative impact on the environment. We decided to reduce packaging as much as possible. Your toy comes with only a label 100% recycled cardboard and a jute rope. How do I wash my theeter? Our teethers are made of maple. The hardness of this wood allows the baby to bite without retained. In addition, the fibres are extremely dense so it prevents saliva and other microbes to develop in the toy. A simple washing with water and a brush is sufficient. If you want to use a soap use a bio and phosphate free soap. Our theeter isn't silky and soft as it was when purchase? We recommend for those who want to give back that soft touch to their theeters, to sand it. With at least a #320 or up sand paper pass on the rough spots until it get silky again. Even if maple is a very hard wood teeth are going to leave some traces. For the flat surfaces fold your sand paper and pass in the direction of the wood grain (follows the line in the wood). For edges turn the sand paper around a pencil, the rough side outside. Used the pencil as a tooth brush to sand the shape of the theether. This should help you go around all the shapes.
